Gauntlet Season Two Rules & Guidelines
Hello Adventurers and welcome to the Gauntlet, where what kills us makes us stronger. The Gauntlet itself is a demi-plane constructed specifically to test the skills of those deemed worthy to enter its hallowed halls. While fighting the many Monsters of the Multiverse you will encounter some unique rooms and rules specific to this place.
The Gauntlet is a series of rooms filled with adversaries. The adventurers are fighting through every entry in the “Monster of the Multiverse” in order of challenge rating.
Enemies within the Gauntlet are magical constructs. They have no morality and feel no pain.
Death is inevitable in the Gauntlet. Upon dying the characters respawn in a “Sanctuary” room, which functions as a save point. Every time they reach a Sanctuary they no longer have to fight the creatures that came before. Every time they die they return to the last Sanctuary they reached.
There are no long rests in the Gauntlet. Upon dying the characters receive all of the benefits of sleep but there is no other way (without a magical exception) to take any longer than a short rest. When the adventurers die they also receive XP for all encounters since their last death.
Any spells or abilities that take an action or less to perform are canceled out in the Sanctuary and cannot be done.
There is a store, Klidarc’s Kollection, in the Sanctuary, where the Adventurers can buy various items and goods. Every bit tipped to the Adventurers counts for one silver for their coffers, and they can also find gold within the Gauntlet itself.
Klidarc’s intern, Izri, runs two different rooms in the Gauntlet: Izri’s Choice and Izri’s Rest Stop.
Izri’s Rest Stop is a place where characters can take a short rest and cast any spell, even those shorter than an action, however it does not function as a true Sanctuary and they will not return to it upon death.
Izri’s Choice has two doors: one that leads to a Sanctuary, and one that leads to a bonus room. The bonus room always has a prize on the other side, however there is a mystery encounter that may have any variety of puzzle, combat, roleplay, or a combination therein. No experience is granted for Izri’s Choice rooms.
The Gauntlet has a rotating cast and frequent guests. There are four players on each episode, except for special shows.
The Audience may interact with the game using Streamloots cards. These cards can help or hinder the players, but most often they throw a lot of chaos into the fray. Packs of cards may be purchased, but they can also be earned for free using channel points. Each card has very specific rules, be sure to read up on them on their Streamloots page: https://www.streamloots.com/adventurerspack
The Adventurers Pack has a very strict policy of chaos and fun but kindness at its heart. We are only intolerant of intolerance and we abhor a bully. If anyone is using our cards cruelly we do reserve the right to return your card to you unplayed. Secondary offenses will be met with a ban.
Above all, the Gauntlet Master reigns here. Once a question has been answered that is final, and there will be no further allowance of argument or negotiation on any point. Rules Lawyers must always answer to this judgment and know that fun is the only true law that matters.
